Start with what fits you

Three ways care may be paid for.

Insurance can feel complicated. This page separates the most common payment paths so you can understand the practical differences before scheduling.

01

Private Pay

You pay the session fee directly. This offers the greatest flexibility for specialty treatment, 90-minute sessions, weekend intensives, workshops and concierge-style support.

02

Out-of-Network Benefits

If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may receive partial reimbursement. We offer detailed superbills for you to submit to your insurer.

03

In-Network Plans

We participate with a number of insurance plans, including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare and Medicaid plans. Eligibility depends on your specific policy.

Out-of-network reimbursement

How using your benefits can work.

Your exact reimbursement depends on your policy, deductible and benefits. The process usually begins with a quick call to your insurance company.

1

Verify your out-of-network benefits

Ask whether outpatient mental health services are covered and what deductible, coinsurance or reimbursement rules apply.

2

Attend your sessions

You pay Rise Up Counseling directly according to the agreed session rate.

3

Submit your superbill

We offer a detailed superbill that you can submit to your insurance carrier. If eligible, reimbursement is generally paid directly to you.

In-network coverage

What many behavioral health plans may cover.

When services are in-network, coverage commonly depends on your diagnosis, plan rules, deductible and clinician participation.

  • Individual psychotherapy
  • Telehealth therapy sessions
  • 45 to 60 minute sessions
  • Treatment for anxiety
  • Treatment for depression
  • Treatment for PTSD
  • Treatment for OCD
  • Couples therapy, if included

Questions to ask your insurer

  1. What is my mental health deductible?
  2. What is my copay or coinsurance for outpatient psychotherapy?
  3. Is telehealth covered?
  4. Do I need prior authorization?
  5. Is couples therapy covered under my plan?
  6. Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

These answers are meant to give you a clear starting point. Insurance policies differ, so your plan documents and insurer remain the best source for your exact benefits.

Yes. If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may receive partial reimbursement after meeting your deductible. We offer detailed superbills. We’re also in-network with BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare and Medicaid plans depending on clinician and policy.

Clients may choose private pay when they want access to specialty-trained clinicians, longer 90-minute sessions, therapy intensives, greater flexibility in treatment, or increased privacy from insurance-based diagnosis requirements.

For trauma therapy, OCD treatment and couples counseling, extended sessions can offer more uninterrupted time for focused treatment. Whether that format is appropriate depends on your needs, goals and clinician recommendation.

Our clinicians may use research-backed approaches such as EMDR for trauma and PTSD, ERP for OCD, and structured evidence-based treatment plans. Treatment methods vary by clinician and client needs.

For certain intensives or specialty packages, structured payment arrangements may be available. We’re happy to discuss available options during your consultation.
